There’s also a twin barrel concept for a 5 day power reserve, 30 non-ferrous and anti-magnetic parts, including a slide bearing winding rotor, to minimise friction and wear and tear and elevated resistance to magnetic fields. As with all the Calibre 400 series movements, it promises an accuracy worthy of chronometer certification (although one that hasn’t officially been rated by COSC) of -3 to +5 seconds a day. The three dial’s all have a subtle, grained texture with needle-shaped hands for the hours, minutes and seconds and a rectangular date window at 6 o’clock.
The blue and pink dials follow the same style but deliver all the markings in white. All are breathtaking, but our eyes are particularly drawn to the moody grey model which opts for a black printed minutes track, black Superluminova inserts and elongated indexes. There are three dial colours to choose from: a monochromatic grey dial, a turquoise blue dial and a bright salmon pink dial. The range of dial colours in the collection are truly stunning and the overall layout lends a whole new personality to the ProPilot line, which has previously featured only Arabic numerals. The edgy architecture, lightweight case and in-house automatic winding movement will be the main selling points for many, but for us, it’s the dials.
